I wanted to love this place....

I read a ton of fabulous reviews of Hudson Brasserie and was very excited to finally be able to try the infamous Hudson Burger with gluten free fries.

Not sure if I went on an off night, but I was very disappointed after reading all of the great reviews. Service was horrible. Food was somewhat disappointing after all the hype. I didn't get to have the gluten free french fries -- they apparently had a big party so they gave up the dedicated gluten free fryer to accommodate the party.

Gluten Free Falafel with a View in Jerusalem, Israel!

Reviewer: Phylliskboston from Boston/MA/ United States

Eating gluten free in Israel can take some effort, but it is possible.

I was very excited when I found out about The Quarter Cafe. I had my mind set on gluten free falafel!

Falafel is made from chickpeas. However some have some flour added as a binder; and it's usually fried so you need to inquire if the oil is gluten free (or if anything else containing gluten is fried in that same oil).

This restaurant had delicious gluten free falafel; delicious Israeli salads, and had gluten free bread as well!

To top it off, the view from the restaurant is amazing!

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in Jerusalem. It's in the heart of the Old City.

Average Seafood -- But you want to love it....

I have lived in the greater Boston area for more than 10 years and have been celiac for close to 30.

In the 10 years I've lived here, I've been to multiple Legal Sefoods restaurants multiple times.

The very best I can say is they are VERY hit or miss. I'm not even talking about their gluten free options. I'm talking about basic seafood. More than once I've had my fish over cooked, vegetables under cooked and bad service.

I stopped going after multiple times of bad service Then they launched their gluten free menu so I tried again. I really want to love this place, but I can't. It's New England. They are a seafood restaurant. They should know how to cook a basic fish dish.

I'm not saying don't go -- their new and improved gluten free menu is very tempting. I'm just saying go with your expectations set right. Could be awesome, could be a total bust.

Fabulous Gluten Free Chinese Food in Framingham, MA!

I love Chinese food. I have always tried to eat at non-chain restaurants and was very surprised when I found Uncle Cheung's a few years ago.

Celiac runs in the owner's family, and they are on top of everything. Jane is fabulous ~ as are the rest of her staff. It's a family run business with great prices, and fantastic food. Their attention to detail is fantastic.

They pay attention to all food allergies, not just any gluten issues.

Please note that they don't have a gluten free menu but the list of things that they can't do gluten free is fairly short (no ravioli, or egg rolls, for example)

Gluten free sandwiches at restaurant in Boston!

Reviewer: Phylliskboston from Boston/MA USA
Reviewed on Oct 22, 2013

I have worked in Back Bay for over 6 years and usually end up with a salad for lunch if I have to go out. I was happy when I stumbled across Wichit. They have gluten free bread, and the fries are gluten free as well. The day I was in, I got to speak with the owner, and after speaking with him I was confident they knew what they were doing. It's a little pricier than my usual lunch, but worth the treat of a good, gluten free sandwich!

Fabulous Italian Food - Florence

Reviewer: Phylliskboston from Boston/MA USA

I have just returned from a trip to Florence. I ended up at Ciro and Sons 3 times within a week and a half. All of their gluten free food is delicious. From garlic bread to the Nutella crepe. You are in good hands when you eat here. I also found out that the Italian Celiac Association has certified this restaurant. They 'test' their certified restaurants every 6 months to ensure they are following the right guidelines. Only 6 restaurants in Florence have this accreditation - and Ciro and Sons is one of them.

Please note that you have to call ahead for their pizza since they make it fresh. Totally worth it!
