Gluten free pasta at Delmonico's in Orlando, FL

We found this place by accident. Fresh off the plane and headed to our condo, we were starved and just wanted to eat SOMETHING. Since our daughter (age 12) is gluten free, we thought a steak place would be a good bet. Boy did we hit the jackpot! They'd just opened the week prior to our visit, and when we asked our about gluten free meals, they smiled and said they even had gluten free pasta. I asked about whether or not they fixed it in a separate pot of water and they knew exactly what I was talking about. My daughter ordered the kid's steak and side of pasta. Her steak was every bit as good as it looked, and when she'd gone through her pasta the manager came by and asked if she'd like it. The next thing I know, he's asking if she'd like more, and, being a pasta fanatic, she said yes, so she was given not one but two generous servings of pasta that day. The decor is very nice, with a New York kind of feel to it. The service we received both times we were there (yes, we went back two days later!) was friendly and efficient. All of the different foods we tried were absolutely delicious. It's a little gem of a restaurant, definitely worth a try, especially if you don't want to go to Disney to get a good gluten free meal.

Sinfully Gluten-Free is a complete and worry-free pleasure!

Everything in this restaurant is gluten free! Begun as a bakery for online and walk-in gluten free baked goods only, the store expanded its operation into a restaurant just a few weeks ago. We had dinner there the first weekend they were open. The menu choices range from varieties of pizza, sandwiches and salads to several types of desserts, such as brownies, cakes, and cookies. Again, everything in the place is gluten free, so there's no need to be concerned about cross-contamination (!!!) or going through all the steps with the wait staff over what is and isn't safe. What a joy it was to be able to take my family there and, for the first time since my daughter's diagnosis, completely relax and let her order whatever she wanted. It's a no-frills decor, with simple tables and chairs in a cafe-type atmosphere. The plates and utensils were utilitarian at best, but the service was very good and the food was outstanding. The bread on my husband's sizeable sandwich was a nice herb variety and not crumbly at all - a very good texture. The pizza crusts were pretty good and the toppings were excellent, with gourmet options such as Chicken Alfredo. The baked goods were largely sold out, but the lemon bar and blondie that my daughters were able to get were out-of-this-world good! Best of all I don't think we paid any more for the four of us to eat there than any other standard sit-down type restaurant would have charged us. The small setting and atmosphere gave the place a nice intimacy; all of the customers were talking from table to table comparing notes on how the food was, what their allergy conditions were, and 'hey where do you shop for gf foods?' etc. It made us all feel welcome and especially made my nine year old daughter feel like she wasn't the only one in the world with Celiac disease. The restaurant does not have a liquor license, however there is a winery across the street and they will gladly take your order and deliver it to you there. Go there, enjoy the food, and take a load off your mind knowing that you don't have to worry about what's on your plate.
