Restaurant at Blue Lagoon has gluten free options

Iceland's famous Blue Lagoon, one of the 25 Wonders of the World, has a highly acclaimed restaurant called Lava. You can actually eat in your robe (after going to the lagoon) before 5 pm. The restaurant Lava is built into a cliff overlooking the lagoon. The food is amazing, including the gluten free bread. My companions and I shared a three-course meal, which was huge. Note: Be sure to buy your tickets in advance for the Blue Lagoon, no matter what time of year you are there, because otherwise you might be turned away, as the Blue Lagoon is a very popular tourist spot year round. If you opt for the premium package, it's well worth it, as it includes an algae face mask, a complimentary drink, robe, towel, slippers, and a glass of champagne in the restaurant. Best of all, it lets you skip the crazy long lines.

Great value for the money (and gluten free) in Reykjavik

This place is a great value for the money. They serve fresh fish and mouth-watering fish soup. The restaurant is both gluten-free friendly and dairy-free friendly. I visited three times while in Reykjavik and ordered the fish soup each time.

Gluten free fries in Reykjavik

The fries here are gluten free and delicious. They also have sauces to choose from, and some are dairy free. This is a good place to stop for a snack and a drink.

Tapas and more at Reykjavik restaurant

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. I tried both Minke Whale and Icelandic Foal (horse) here. They have a tapas tasting menu that you can share with multiple people, and the tapas are very good. Their menu is reasonably priced and worth it. The staff was able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. We ate here twice on our trip, and both times we left full and happy. Make a reservation, or be prepared to wait at the bar until a table is ready.

By far the best meal we had in Reykjavik

We ate here twice while in Reykjavik and had the best meals. It is expensive, but it is worth it. They have both a gluten free menu, as well as a tasting experience menu you can opt for with two or more people. It's a sampling of some of their best dishes. I'd recommend making a reservation, because it's a popular place.
