Seems owner and daughter are both Celiac, completely GF establishment, kind of like your neighborhood diner. 5 stars for ensuring 100% safety 3 stars for healthy food options - lot of sugar, cheese, bacon, butter, etc - yipes, I'm a vegan, so it took some effort to find a dish that worked, but at least I wasn't worried about contamination but someone was picking up a GF wedding cake while I was having breakfast, so wow, lot's of options with these kind folks.

Restaurant with many gluten-free options in Ottawa, Ontario

Not a dedicated GF restaurant, but much of the menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free - one of the only non-dedicated restaurants that I would consider safe. These people are well informed, and it is my choice spot every time I am in Ottawa (my reaction to gluten is extremely acute, so it's very, very rare for me to eat anywhere that is not 100% gluten free). This spot is one of my all time favorites. Besides the terrific staff, kind service (owner Dave is the nicest guy you will ever meet), cozy atmosphere...the food is SMASHING. It will make you feel like pre-Celiac days. These people take such pride in creating amazing dishes, just fabulous. Last night I was in town for a show, has the lemongrass thai rice/curry/seasonal vegetable...incredibly delicious. Just be sure to make reservations (their website has a great tool), they are completely booked pretty often.

Montreal's only raw food restaurant. Raw, organic, and gluten free - fantastic variety on the menu, gorgeous presentations, sinful desserts, beautiful new location in the heart of downtown around the corner from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Can't go wrong.

Restaurant with gluten-free "raw food" in Toronto, Ontario

Terrific raw food restaurant, naturally gluten free, great desserts and every time I visit (since I live 500 miles away) I call ahead and order 3 dozen packages of their raw (dehydrated) crackers. The sun dried tomato and zahtar are my fav. Beautiful terrace in the back during summer, wonderfully varied menu options (make sure you order the sampler appetizer plate) Love this place!
