celiac safe!, Oct 11, 2018
reviewer: Celiacfrustratedinglendale from Glendale AZ
Picazzos is a dream. It is always frustrating eating out in the Phoenix area. Restaurants offer gluten free menus, but give no thought whatsoever to prep. PICAZZOS IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE!!! Excellent service, excellent food and an extensive menu, not just for celiacs. But most food allergens. THANK YOU SO MUCH PICAZZOS!!

I can eat Pizza safely again -- gluten free in Phoenix!, Jun 20, 2014
reviewer: Silvermoonsusan from Phoenix, AZ
This location is always very good. The staff knows us and we always get great service and food. I am gluten free by celiac disease and my daughter is vegetarian. We try to eat organic whenever possible and Picazzo's makes that so easy!

If you come in between 3 and 6 you can get Happy Hour deals which include any appetizer for half off. DEAL!

I recommend the cheese bread, caprese salad and the portobello mushroom has the best balsamic I have ever tasted. I am talking plate licking good! The meatballs and stuffed pepper are good as well. I will say there is a bit of a kick to the pepper but not so bad that you can't enjoy it. My mom swears by the baked wings.

My favorite pizza is the gluten free Diavola. It has the most delectable caramelized onions and red, orange and yellow bell peppers combined with pepperoni and andouille sausage. It is Ah-mazing! The crust is the least crispy gluten free crust I have had.

I also like the Cheese Ravioli Carbonara. They don't skimp on the Pancetta but I've also subbed out chicken for it and it is equally good.

The Three Cheese Baked Cannelloni is my third home run item. Not that I could put them in order. The red sauce is honestly one of the best I have ever had.

Skillet brownie or chocolate chip cookie with coconut milk ice cream tops of the meal if you have room.

One of only TWO places in the entire area that I can have gluten free apps, main meal and dessert. Score!

I am passionate about Picazzo's because I know they will prepare my food safely and it will taste great!

Loved the gluten free choices at Phoenix restaurant, Jun 19, 2014
reviewer: Kellie4health from Phoenix, AZ
I am gluten free and sometimes get frustrated with the lack of options at restaurants. I was very excited to find that Picazzo's has all gluten free pasta and what's more, their food is amazing. I was starting to miss being able to eat Italian food. There are a wide variety of choices. I chose a gluten free pizza with toppings that I chose and it was delicious. i am looking forward to going there again!

Raising non-GMO awareness, Jun 19, 2014
reviewer: Celiacdi from Prescott, Arizona USA
It's tough to find a place to eat if you are both celiac and very sensitive to GMO's, which I am.

Upon arriving at Picazzo's, I asked our delightful waitress about the restaurant's GMO's policy and her response was: "We do not use any GMO's!" So I questioned her further about their salad dressings and discovered that their dressings were mostly made using canola oil...and it was not organic canola oil. Not good! She thanked me for educating her more about GMO's and seemed sincere about it. She was very helpful, and we were able to make a salad dressing with just olive oil and vinegar.

I am very pleased to now hear that the restaurant has become more aware of its use of GMO's and is taking further measures to remove them.

Great pizza and even has a gluten-free beer. Serves also a regular menu.
