|We don't go to Carrabba's Italian Grill enough. I say this because every time we go we have an awesome meal, and I feel confident they are keeping our gluten free son safe. We were traveling to Richmond for a lacrosse tournament and decided to eat at this restaurant, because we had not yet had an opportunity to try their gluten free pasta. I ordered my favorite Pollo Rosa Maria, which is wood-fired grilled chicken stuffed with fontina cheese and prosciutto, topped with mushrooms and basil lemon butter sauce. It was a generous portion -- two small breasts -- served with a large side serving of pasta (their gluten free pasta is casarecce shaped and very good). The pasta was done perfectly al dente. The meal also came with a choice of starter salads, which were also all generously portioned. (You can also opt for soup.) Here is a link to their Gluten Free Menu. In the restaurants, you get a regular menu, in which all the gluten free options (and there are MANY) are notated. You have your choice of appetizers, salads, soups, many steak and chicken entrees, and wonderful pasta sauces and combinations, including one with scallops and shrimp "alla Vodka." Our son ordered the Pasta Carrabba, with wood-grilled chicken, sauteed mushrooms, and peas. It had an Alfredo sauce that was good, but very rich. We were tempted by the creme brulee for dessert, but we were all too full from the wonderful dinner! I'd recommend patronizing any Carrabba's restaurant. I am very thankful that this is a place with many locations that serves the gluten free community so well -- with so many high-quality, tasty, and safe options. You don't feel like you're missing out on anything here (except maybe the bread, but who needs those extra carbs anyway!).
