|Slightly north of the downtown Seattle area, we figured this Whole Foods location might be bigger and have a larger selection of gluten free foods than a location right in the heart of Seattle. We wanted to stock up on essential groceries -- and gluten free items -- en route to Whistler, British Columbia (about a 4 ½ hour drive from Seattle) where we would be spending a week skiing and staying in a condo with a kitchen. Being from the East Coast, we were excited to find some items that aren't yet available in our Whole Foods stores (or may never be, since I believe Whole Foods stores all do their own sourcing, which often includes offering things from local bakers, farmers, butchers and artisans). Among some of our more exciting purchases were gluten free vegan cinnamon rolls from Flying Apron bakery, gluten free vegan chocolate cupcakes with choclate icing, the new Udi's frozen French style dinner rolls, gluten free fish fillets, and some other rolls that look like popovers. A really nice shopping experience.
