|I have the luxury of working for the Mayflower Park Hotel as well as Andaluca Restaurant. I am also gluten intolerant and have been gluten free for 6 years! I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to entertain clients, writers and guests in Andaluca without having to worry about ingesting gluten.
Andaluca Restaurant serves Mediterranean influenced cuisine with almost everything being gluten free. That being said, just to be safe, we created a gluten free menu and trained our staff on cross contamination and the reason it is vital to make sure those with celiac or gluten intolerance do not come in contact with ANY gluten. The gluten free menu offers about 75% of what the regular menu offers.
The pinxtos menu (like tapas) is my favorite. I especially like the herb roasted mussels, the rissotto (changes seasonally) and the chicken and halibut skewers. The stuffed chorizo dates, the lamb dolmas, and the mini crab tower are also delicious.
For dinner, I would suggest the paella or the crispy skin salmon, the gala apple salad and for dessert, the signature item-Warm liquid chocolate cake-flourless and gluten free!
I cant say enough about Andaluca. I am biased of course, but having worked with the Andaluca Chef, Wayne Johnson and his team, to ensure that all gf folks like me are taken care of daily, I feel extremely confident in suggesting all gf people must experience Andaluca when in Seattle.
