|Our family just returned from visiting relatives in the suburbs of Boston, and through them, I was introduced to Scott Johnson, owner of the relatively new bakery called WoWo\'s Goodies (named after his wife\'s grandmother who had a great baking talents). Scott opened WoWo\'s in December of last year and then in February added many gluten free offerings to his assortment of baked goodies, at the request of some of his customers. Although he has a storefront in mind, right now Scott works out of his home, which is a Board of Health certified residential kitchen. He can do either pick-up or delivery orders. We had him deliver an assortment of gluten free Whoopie Pies and gluten free Chocolate Brownies -- both of which were delicious! The Whoopie Pies are traditional style with a creamy marshmallow filling. The best thing is -- although he does not run a dedicated gluten free kitchen -- Scott DOUBLE CLEANS the kitchen before making his gluten free baked goods. That means he cleans at the end of the day after making "regular" baked goods AND then he cleans again the next morning, in case any gluten flour in the air settles on the counter surfaces. That was impressive to hear. Then he makes his gluten free goodies. Although we did not sample any, he offers these other gluten free options: cupcakes, cakes, muffins, and scones. He loves to experiment with new flavors and I\'m sure would be happy to create a custom flavor (within reason)! His wife makes gluten free granola and they sell both their gluten free goodies at the Wilmington, MA Farmer\'s Market. All his products freeze well, as he explained -- and we tested. We stocked up on the gluten free Whoopie Pies and Brownies and brought some home to have on hand. What a nice treat for our son to be able to have a GF Whoopie Pie! Give Scott a call and let him know Karen Broussard referred you...he\'ll be sure to take good care of you!
