Gluten free at cafe in Gettysburg, PA, Jun 10, 2013
reviewer: Gftraveler from South Riding, VA
We went to Mom\'s Coffee Pot for breakfast after reading a review on this website. I called the week before to make sure they would have gluten free options. They always do -- they have a gluten free menu with various breakfast sandwiches. They are also open for lunch and have gluten free sandwiches, soups, and salads. Mary, the owner, also said she typically makes some type of gluten free muffins for Saturday mornings (they are closed on Sundays). So we went on Saturday morning, our first morning in town, and they had gluten free coconut muffins, which were really tasty. We had some of those and then also ordered breakfast sandwiches. You have a choice of bacon, sausage, or ham with the egg (and cheese, if you want it), and Mary uses gluten free bread (homemade, I think). It was very good. Their lattes and hot cocoas are delicious as well. They also sometimes have other gluten free baked goods like cookies or brownies, but on the morning we visited, it was just the GF coconut muffins. Mom\'s Coffee Pot is a true small-town cafe/coffee shop -- a nice change from Starbucks! There\'s a large sofa and small and large tables -- like visiting someone\'s home (and it is -- the owners live upstairs!). There are quite a few small cafes and coffee shops like this in Gettysburg, but this is the only one we knew of that served gluten free fare. I\'m giving it 4 out of 5 "palms" for a rating, just because the menu is limited, and availability of gluten free baked goods varies by the day.

Great gluten free breakfasts and lunches in Gettysburg, May 04, 2013
reviewer: CherylinPA from Gettysburg, PA, USA
Hubby and I eat at Mom's frequently for Gluten Free lunches. I love her homemade bread and so I often order sandwiches. But her soups are fantastic, too, and so is the chef salad! The place has a friendly atmosphere, and you can frequently meet fellow celiacs eating there also. It's a favorite for locals who meet for food and conversation.

Mom's Coffee Pot in Gettysburg has a GF menu, Mar 22, 2010
reviewer: DC_Celiacs from DC/MD/VA,
Mom\'s Coffee Pot has some local color and has a gluten-free menu for breakfast, lunch, and dessert. Brian, the owner, has Celiac Disease and his wife Mary keeps gluten-free food on hand. Best to call ahead anyway to request gluten-free foods for your visit. Her gluten-free chocolate chip cookies are awesome! POSTED BY DC CELIACS SUPPORT GROUP http://www.dcceliacs.com
