Gluten free restaurant in Oakland, California, Apr 21, 2015
reviewer: GFTS from
Grease Box is a bakery and cafe serving gluten free comfort foods. The chef and owner, Lizzy Boelter, has celiac disease herself and opened up the restaurant to serve organic and sustainable gluten free food. The website provides a sample weekday menu, but they recommend calling ahead to inquire on the current menu if you are curious. This sample menu includes meals such as waffles, egg and cheese sandwich, salads, and gumbo. The menu can be found on the home page: http://www.greaseboxoakland.com

Gluten Free Fried Chicken at Oakland Food Truck!, Nov 29, 2014
reviewer: GFTS from
Grease Box Mobile Kitchen is a food truck based out of Oakland that serves an entirely gluten free, whole grain, and made from scratch menu. Their menu has a fairly varied range of lunch meals including buttermilk waffles, grass fed burgers, crepes, fried chicken, and several sides like bacon, eggs, toast, and queso. Their menu changes regularly and mostly features foods that are not traditionally gluten free like baguette sandwiches, chicken and waffles, sandwiches, and pizzas.
