Gluten free options at Italian restaurant in Ocean City, MD Jul 17, 2018
reviewer: Nanajan from Potomac, MD

We had a really good experience at this Old World Italian restaurant, which has authentic and wonderful Italian food in a modern setting. The restaurant is attached to the Holiday Inn and is quite large. They also have locations in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and downtown Lewes, DE. My grandson, who has Celiac, ordered their gluten free pasta with white clam sauce. He really enjoyed it. They used gluten free penne, and they even sell many gluten free pastas in the market they have in the store. They were careful about noting a gluten "allergy" on the order and take precautions in the kitchen, using a separate pot of water, of course, separate colander, etc. There are probably a lot of other safe gluten free choices you can order if you are gluten free. I'd just recommend asking the manager. They have many salads, antipasti, vegetables, and main courses that certainly seem as though they are -- or could be prepared -- gluten free. They seem to really care about their Celiac diners here. I would give them a higher rating if they either had a printed gluten free menu to make it easier -- or noted their gluten free options with a GF notation on their regular menu. The food we all had was outstanding -- and they were good portions. Fun, lively, classy place. Not your typical beach restaurant!

Gluten free chicken nuggets and salads in Fredericksburg, VA Jun 02, 2017
reviewer: Nanajan from Potomac,MD USA

Look at the bottom of the home page of their website for the Allergens link to find the chart that lists what has wheat in it. There isn't much you can have here except for the grilled nuggets and two entree salads (make sure to specify GRILLED chicken on them, not fried). But they are all good. Plus, the fries are GF. So are some other sides AND the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry milkshakes. It is just nice to be able to at least have some decent choices for a quick meal here.

Delicious gluten free dining in Tysons Corner Mall Jun 02, 2017

We love going to Seasons 52. The food is wonderful and there are a lot of choices on their "Gluten Sensitive Menu." Flatbreads, delicious soups (a favorite of mine in winter), interesting (not boring) salads, and amazing entrees, including, but not limited to, fish and seafood. On our most recent visit, I ordered the Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops, which were divine. Probably my favorite entree I've ordered there. Served with yummy risotto and a vegetable. The sides often change depending on the season. I also like the shrimp and grits and the lobster BLT lettuce wraps. They need to do better with the dessert selection, however. Not much if you're gluten free. They do also have lactose free, vegan, and vegetarian menus.

Wonderful gluten free dining in Alexandria, VA May 30, 2017
reviewer: Nanajan from Potomac, MD

We've been to many other Burtons Grill locations but hadn't yet tried this one which just opened in the past year or two. This time, I ordered the gluten free fried calamari (which not many places offer!) and the risotto with chicken, artichokes, and spinach. Both were amazing. There are so many choices that it can be hard to decide what to order here.

Burger chain with gluten free burgers and fries in Newark DE May 23, 2016
reviewer: Nanajan from Potomac, MD

We go to Red Robin quite often, as they offer burgers that are gluten free, served on a gluten free bun. Their fries are also gluten free, fried in a dedicated fryer. There is some debate as to whether their seasoning salt is gluten free, so it's best to ask for the fries and burger without it. They have an Interactive Allergen Menu on their website ( http://www.redrobin.com/allergen-customizer.html ) which lets you check off any allergens you need to avoid. However, when we went to this location, they did not seem very knowledgeable about gluten free. When I asked (even the manager) if they had a printout of GF options, he didn't seem to know. At our home location, they always used to bring us something to look at. I tried to pull up the GF info on my smartphone in the restaurant, but frankly, it was rather cumbersome. But since they knew that the burgers and fries were GF (with a GF bun) and how to place the order with an allergy alert for the kitchen (and we knew how and what to order), it didn't deter us in this case. The menu options that come up when you check off gluten on their website are broken down by category, so you have to click on each one (Appetizers, Burgers, Salads, etc.) to see each of your options by category. Do a bit of research before going so you have an idea of what you want. The buns aren't listed, but they do offer GF buns.
