PF Chang's in Annapolis, MD rocks for gluten free Jul 31, 2013
reviewer: Magistrakunz from Easton, MD

There is no restaurant (short of the rare completely gluten-free ones) where I feel more comfortable eating. PF Chang's goes out of their way to make sure it is clear to servers and customers what is gluten free and what's isn't. The GF sauces are in bright red bowls instead of white ones, and GF dishes have a special border on the plate to distinguish them from normal dishes.

In addition, they offer actually delicious choices. They taste like normal food so much so that my husband is willing to eat them (a rare feat!). Our favorites are the Mongolian Beef and the Sweet and Spicy Chicken, after starting with the lettuce wraps, of course. If you manage to not be completely full, there's even a tasty chocolate dessert that is GF and rich and chocolatey.

We usually only go once a year because it is such a special treat.

B'dobo a nono for gluten free dining Jul 14, 2013
reviewer: Magistrakunz from Easton, md

The staff is very friendly and they kind of tried to clean their grill, but this restaurant is really not conducive to gluten-free diners. I tried to stick with safe sauces and my food ended up quite bland.

Extensive gluten free menu at restaurant in Portland, Maine Jul 21, 2012
reviewer: Magistrakunz from Eason, MD USA

My husband and I were visiting Portland, Maine for a short vacation and our guidebook mentioned Silly's as a great stop for a snack and a milkshake. Intending just to get some ice cream--I realized they have a very extensive gluten-free menu! I'm upset I didn't come here for lunch or dinner because they have a very detailed description or what is gluten free, they can make pizzas and wraps with chickpea flour, and they offer to cook things in separate pans. In general, they are very knowledgeable. All I had was a brownie sundae, but I'll tell you that the brownie was gooooood. If I ever return to Portland--I am definitely eating here! In addition to the gluten-free availabilities, the place was very fun and the staff exceptionally friendly.

Gluten Free at Mongolian BBQ-ish restaurant in Tempe, Arizona Sep 03, 2012
reviewer: Magistrakunz from Easton, MD

So much fun! I used to go to Mongolian BBQ places fairly regularly, but they lost their fun once I had to do everything separately and behind closed doors. Not so with YCs! The manager personally explained the gluten-free options and the procedure I should follow. She showed me which sauces (Curry! Thai Peanut Sauce!) are okay and pointed out their rice noodles. They have two grills, so once the grillers saw the Allergy Indicator on my tray, they immediately cleaned one grill right in front of me and cooked everyone else's food on the other grill. This is such a fun place if you like the atmosphere and getting to create your own dishes. Also--free soft serve at the end!
