Gluten free on Celebrity cruise line Feb 22, 2016
reviewer: Jjglutenfree

You might want to know that Celebrity no longer requires gluten free travelers to fill in a form prior to sailing. They now have gluten free options available all day throughout their ships. I just came back from a cruise on the Celebrity Millennium from Hong Kong to Singapore, and I was very pleased with the way they take care of you. Once you have talked with the maitre'd or the chef or the Food and Beverage Manager when entering any of their restaurants, they'll show you around and point out all the gluten free options. They even prepare new gluten free items when you suggest that you'd like to have them. In my case, I told the maitre'd that I was disappointed that I could not eat the "normal" scones. He rang the chef and ordered to start producing gluten free scones. And starting the next day, they had gluten free scones every day on the ship.

Cruising gluten free aboard Holland America cruise line Jan 11, 2016

Holland America Line provides gluten free meals only in the main dining room while other cruise companies like Celebrity provide them all over their ship (including buffet restaurant, restaurant near the pool etc.). HAL should improve their services and put them up to standard. The taste of gluten free bread, pancakes, waffles and cookies could really be improved by HAL. We made a cruise with HAL's Rotterdam in August 2015 from Rotterdam to Iceland.
