Best restaurant for gluten free diners anywhere! Feb 21, 2019
reviewer: Gfmom from South Riding, VA, USA

If you haven't visited One Dish Cuisine and you're gluten free, you haven't lived! Seriously, this is THE place to go if you're gluten free. The entire restaurant is gluten free, and there is also a separate kitchen for preparing food for patrons who are also dairy free. Owner Maureen Burke is super-dedicated and takes any special dietary needs seriously. She herself has to avoid many allergens, and the restaurant is also completely free of common allergens like soy, fish, shellfish, eggs, sesame, peanuts, and tree nuts. You may be wondering if the food is good...well, yes, it is amazing. Maureen has the best pizza I've ever had -- gluten free or not. The crust is absolutely perfect, and you can get two different sizes (they are rectangular shaped). I get the Margherita Pizza almost every time our family goes there. Other favorites of mine include the Reuben sandwiches, and our kids like the burgers, chicken tenders, wings and fries. They have daily specials...things like stew, Chicken Parmesan, and always have a soup or two, and hot and cold sandwiches and subs. Their baked goods are fabulous, and we always take a cooler with us to take many of these home to freeze and enjoy later. There are donuts, muffins, coffee cakes, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, whoopie pies, and more. You can also get plenty of breads, pre-made pizzas, rolls, meals, and sweet treats from their freezer to go. They are not too far off Interstate 95, so even if you don't live right near Ellicott City, Maryland, you really owe it to yourself to stop here any time you are passing by on 95. Maureen has diners come from all over the U.S. to dine at her restaurant...and even some international visitors as well. It is safe and delicious and unlike any other restaurant you'll find. You can read more about them on their website -- and look at the three menus posted: one for GF, one for GF/dairy free, and one for frozen foods and deli items (freshly sliced deli meats and cheeses to go). Bring a big cooler!

One of the best casual restaurants for gluten free in VA, MD, and WV Feb 21, 2019
reviewer: Gfmom

Our family goes to this restaurant all the time. They are a regional chain with locations in Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia. (They have locations in Florida and North Carolina, too, but those locations don't have gluten free menus.) The Gluten Free Menu at Glory Days Grill is quite extensive. You can get all your typical sports bar favorites, which are often hard to find gluten free...things like nachos, wings, ribs, fries (they have a dedicated fryer), and more. You can also get healthier fare like entree salads, salmon, and chicken dishes. They also offer steaks, seafood, and many different types of burgers (on gluten free buns). There is also a Kids GF Menu and desserts (I highly recommend the Chocolate Torte -- amazing!). They offer gluten free beer and hard ciders as well. Glory Days Grill takes good care in keeping gluten free diners safe, and you won't be lacking delicious choices here! Our family's favorite thing to order are the ribs. They are some of the best we've ever had.

Many gluten free options on the menu at Clyde's in Chevy Chase, MD Apr 30, 2018
reviewer: Gfmom from Northern Virginia,VA United States

I hadn't dined at this particular location of Clyde's in YEARS, but I met my mom recently and had lunch there. There are many gluten free options, all labeled on the regular menu. I chose the Atlantic Salmon, grilled and served over lentils in a Dijon mustard sauce. It was really delicious!

Always a great gluten free experience at this restaurant in Sterling, VA Apr 30, 2018
reviewer: Gfmom

We love Burtons Grill and are so glad to have two locations in northern Virginia (this Sterling location and another in Alexandria) to choose from now. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto, which was divine. It was a flavorful risotto with chicken, basil, tomatoes, spinach, artichokes, and lemon butter sauce...all my favorite things! My husband ordered the Short Ribs, another one of their specialties which also happens to be gluten free. We were there on a Wednesday, which is half-price bottle of wine night. We enjoyed a very nicely priced "Super Tuscan" red, which complemented the meal perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant, as there are SO many amazing gluten free choices on their menu. Wonderful menu of gluten free choices in Reston Mar 22, 2018
reviewer: Gfmom from Anytown, AT

This is a chain with locations in six states. They used to have a location in Lansdowne, but now in VA, it's just this one in Reston and another in Woodbridge. They offer "creative comfort food" and an amazing gluten free menu ( https://www.notyouraveragejoes.com/locations/virginia/reston/gluten-free/ ). They are careful in the preparation of gluten free orders here, too. They even bring gluten free bread with their delicious dipping oil. There are so many choices: appetizers, soups, salads, and even burgers and sandwiches on gluten free caramelized onion rolls. The entrees range from baked pasta dishes, chicken piccata, chicken parmesan, and pork chops to fish and seafood. I absolutely LOVE the pecan sage pesto salmon entree. There are plenty of gluten free sides and even desserts like a flourless chocolate torte and a to-die-for carrot cake. This is one of the best gluten-free friendly restaurants around.
