Gluten free items marked on menu at Annapolis, MD restaurant Jan 12, 2016

We had a family luncheon at Carrol's Creek Cafe in Annapolis, MD. They clearly mark the gluten free items on their menu. The chef and staff are knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. I ate safely, enjoying gluten free and dairy free filet mignon and veggies (they cannot make potatoes gluten free or dairy free during lunch because roasted new potatoes are only available at dinner). I did not get sick.

Gluten free bakery and cafe in Millis, MA Jan 12, 2016

I have personally been to this gluten free bakery/cafe and have also sent friends and family there. Twist Bakery and Cafe is completely gluten free and fairly allergy friendly. I believe they have perfected their labeling since I was there last. I was able to get a Reuben with Daiya cheese, which was good. I did not have to worry about getting sick. The cupcakes are great, and the prices were reasonable, too. They do not use egg in their baked goods.

Gluten free available at Newport, RI restaurant Jan 12, 2016

Sardella's Italian Restaurant is owned by some close family friends of mine, who are like cousins. When we went there for dinner, I was still full from my lunch that day. The rest of my family enjoyed appetizers. Although they don't have a dedicated Gluten Free Menu, Kevin and Patrick Fitzgerald are serious about gluten free. However, they were both off that day, so I did not want to take a chance and order anything without one of them being in the kitchen (I'm very sensitive). But this is a place I'd recommend for gluten free...just call ahead to make sure either Kevin or Patrick will be there (and talk to them when you arrive).

Found something gluten free at restaurant in Branford, CT Jan 12, 2016

While visiting Rhode Island, I headed to Branford, CT to see my aunt and cousins. They own Lenny's Indian Head Inn, which is basically a huge Irish pub and seafood restaurant that has been owned and operated by them for 49 years. Branford is just north of New Haven, CT, right off Route 95. It is your typical picturesque town on the Atlantic Ocean. The only thing I can safely eat at Lenny's is the lobster salad on a plate, but I am not complaining about it one bit...it is just simply the best anywhere, and I don't get sick! Otherwise, most everything else on the menu contains gluten!

Gluten free dining in Narragansett, Rhode Island Jan 12, 2016

There are not any completely gluten free places in the area, so when my cousins and sisters wanted to take me out for my birthday, we went back to Arturo Joe's, where I had eaten safely four years ago. This is your typical hard-core Italian restaurant with quite a few gluten free selections. There is an uncharge for gluten free. This year I tried the veal and peas in tomato sauce over pasta. It was very good and free of gluten and milk. Again, I did not get sick, so thumbs up. The owner was there again this visit and came over to the table and assured me that I was in good hands.
