Good gluten free burgers in Providence, RI Aug 18, 2018
reviewer: Cjtravels from Anytown,AT

When we were in town looking at colleges, we were looking for a place to eat and found this burger place. They have gluten free buns, and most of their burgers are gluten free. They are very knowledgable and told us that the fries were not safe because they are cooked in a shared fryer. Also, they were very careful about cross contamination. They had an entirely separate gluten free menu, and there were many options. The location is nice, located in a little plaza, and the restaurant was very clean.

Modern Pizza Aug 18, 2018
reviewer: Cjtravels

We were in town in New Haven visiting Yale, so we looked up gluten free restaurants in the area on this website. Modern Pizza was very close to Yale's campus, and we had never been there. We learned from a previous review that all gluten free pizzas are cooked in a separate pan, to avoid cross contamination. However, I believe they are cooked in the same oven. The only gluten free options they had were pizzas, but they were cooked perfectly, and it was one of the best pizzas I've had in a while.

Amazing restaurant with gluten free menu in Methuen Mar 22, 2018
reviewer: Cjtravels from Anytown, AT

I was up visiting family in this area, and I got to dine at this amazing restaurant with an incredible Gluten Free Menu. There was so much to choose from that I couldn't decide what to get! The Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps are really good as an appetizer, and all the wonderful sounding salads have gluten free house-made dressings. They brought gluten free bread with dipping oil (so rare that restaurants have good gluten free bread, or any gluten free bread at all for that matter!). I really enjoyed the Rosemary Skewered Scallops as an entree, but if you prefer a burger, they have those, too. There are meats, pastas, you name it...check out their GF Menu: https://www.notyouraveragejoes.com/locations/massachusetts/methuen/gluten-free/

Large gluten free menu at Branford, CT restaurant Aug 10, 2017
reviewer: Cjtravels

This restaurant is appropriately named as we sat in the "living room" area of the restaurant. Since it was a Sunday afternoon, I guess the dining room was closed. The gluten free menu is very large. In fact, when comparing it to the main menu, I don't think there was anything that couldn't be prepared gluten free. Although Home is not a "burger joint" at all, we were told about the place because of their hamburger and hot dog rolls. Well, we were disappointed, to say the least, since they were out of both. I was told they were out of hot dog buns when I ordered, but they didn't say anything to my son when he ordered the hamburger, which they served on toast . . . which crumbled apart quickly. As for the hot dog, they served it in a corn tortilla, which turned out to be quite good. Hot dog also came with gluten free fried onions on top. The burger came with good gluten free fries, fried in a dedicated fryer. So overall it was a good experience, but I would call ahead if you're dying for the rolls!

Amazing gluten free Italian meal in Georgetown Jul 31, 2017
reviewer: Cjtravels

Wow! We had an amazing dinner at Il Canale. This restaurant offers gluten free pizza and pasta, and many of the other things on the menu (like meat and seafood items) can be made gluten free upon request. They are very friendly and accommodating here and even have a separate kitchen for preparing the gluten free pizza and pasta. The pasta is made from a blend of rice and corn and is very tasty. The pizza crust isn't homemade, but it is good, and the toppings are delicious. Even though they only have a handful of gluten free pizza varieties listed on the menu, you can request other combinations as many of the other toppings are naturally gluten free (like meats and veggies). Same goes for the pasta...if you want something not listed as gluten free, just ask. They make gluten free focaccia using the gluten free pizza crust, and it is a great starter. The wine selection here is very good, and they even have a gluten free coconut panna cotta with chocolate sauce for dessert. Our salads were delicious and fresh (buffalo mozzarella was outstanding, as was the prosciutto over fresh cantaloupe melon). I can highly recommend this restaurant if you like authentic Italian food. They are known for their authentic Neapolitan style pizza cooked in a wood burning oven, but since that isn't gluten free, we didn't try it. It looked great, however!
