Small Town in Minnesota with Gluten Free Options Aug 21, 2011
reviewer: Amandam83 from Bloomington, MN

Maranteli's is located in Cold Spring, MN - population of around 3,000. Having a Gluten Free option at all is pretty impressive - Maranteli's has gluten free pizza and a list of their toppings that are acceptable. The crust comes on its own pan and is cooked in it so you are safe as far as that goes. I personally I am not super thrilled with this Pizza, however, it beats driving all the way to St. Cloud (30 min) when you are tired. There's also a location in St. Joseph, Minnesota.

Fast and Pasta... Seriously?? Gluten-Free Options at restaurant in Edina, MN Aug 21, 2011
reviewer: Amandam83 from Bloomington, MN

Noodles & Company is a "fast" food place that specializes in different pastas from around the world. Luckily for us gluten intolerant folks, that includeds Pad Thai. Since they have rice noodles on hand, Noodles has taken the time to identify what other sauce and topping combinations are also gluten free if placed on the rice noodles so you aren't just confined to Pad Thai. Alert the cashier when you are ordering that you have a gluten allergy (use that term) and they will mark your order as such and handle it with extra care. Allergen info available online, multiple locations.

Authentic Gluten-Free Mexican at Restaurant in Lakeville, MN - Yum Aug 21, 2011
reviewer: Amandam83 from Bloomington, MN

A group of us LOVE to go to Teresa's Mexican - it is one of those places that you aren't quite sure the waiter is going to understand you, but the food is delish and they serve white cheese dip. So far, I have had the following safely: Chicken fajitas (order corn tortillas) rice Soft corn tortillas with chicken (taco) soft corn tortillas with shrimp (taco) cheese dip salsa sour cream shredded cheese guac DO NOT ORDER: chips (i bring my own) hard shell anything They use a shared fryer for these items and you will get sick It is hit or miss wether the staff will know what gluten is or not, sometimes the manager will know, but he isn't always there. I stick to ordering the above but I'm sure there are other things that would be safe as well. I'm giving it 5 palms because I've never gotten sick, but they do not have a gluten free menu. There are 3 locations in the Twin Cities area, 3 in Georgia, and 2 in South Carolina.

Gluten Free Fajitas at chain restaurant with location in Richfield, MN! Aug 21, 2011
reviewer: Amandam83 from Bloomington, MN

My husband and I frequent Don Pablo's on a fairly regular basis, because both the shrimp and steak fajitas are gluten free. I can't for the life of me figure out why so many places mess with chicken and put gluten in it, but don't order the chicken, you'll be sick. The beans and the rice that come with it are safe as well, or if you want you can sub out the corn cake which is safe too (and quite tasty) The main modification you have to make is requsting corn tortillas instead of flour. Don's also puts their allergen info online... but I'm a fajita fan so I don't stray. Also, on Mondays you can get unlimited steak (or chicken for your gluten eating friends) fajitas for $10.99 and on Wednesdays you get the regular serving for $8.99... that is gluten free CHEAP! Don Pablos is a chain with locations across much of the U.S.

Decent Gluten-Free Restaurant Option in Minnesota - Need to Try More Aug 21, 2011
reviewer: Amandam83 from Bloomington, MN

I recently tried the gluten free pizza option from Tavern on France -I got it to go so I did not ask the staff about what other menu items are also gluten free. The pizza was pretty good, not as good as Pizza Luce though. For me it is close to work so I would get it again. I did not see a dedicated gluten free menu on the website, so you would have to ask at the location what else is available. Also, when I asked if all the toppings were gluten free they didn't really know. They also own the Tavern Grill in Blaine, MN.
