Serious seafood restaurant with gluten free options in San Antonio May 10, 2011
reviewer: TexasEdie from san antonio, TX, USA

Instead of a few stark selections, the Fish City Grill offers a varied menu of gluten-free fresh seafood dishes -- on a special Gluten-Free Menu. In addition, the kitchen will prepare off-menu seafood on request. The wait staff are aware of gluten-free requirements -- no blank-stares when asked! The food is excellent and it is a real pleasure to eat with confidence that precautions have been taken to avoid cross-contamination.

Elegant Gluten Free Gourmet Dining in San Antonio Oct 06, 2010
reviewer: TexasEdie from San Antonio, Texas, United States

If you thought gourmet dining in an elegant, romantic setting was impossible for a Celiac, you should dine at La Canarias in San Antonio. The menu selections are superb and modified by the chef to insure gluten-free precautions from beginning to end. Individual attention is given to every detail of the dinner of your choice. Even the G-F bread is exquisite. Your non-Celiac dinner companions will be as delighted as you are since they will not have to enjoy their appetizers and full menu selection while you cannot. La Canarias has received local, state and national recognition as a fine restaurant. Accordingly, it is expensive ... but worth every dollar!

Asian Restaurant with great gluten-free menu in San Antonio Oct 05, 2010
reviewer: TexasEdie from San Antonio, TX 78259, United States

Oriental food is my favorite and often hard to find gluten-free because of the soy sauce! P.F.Chang's offers a good variety of choices for G-F diners and everything is delicious. I wish they offered more appetizers and more desserts, but the sum total is always a delightful dining experience. It's such a joy to know that they are aware of and take care to provide G-F food.

Cruise of the Greek Isles and dining gluten-free Oct 05, 2010
reviewer: TexasEdie from San Antonio, TX, United States

MSC provided a worry-free experience for our Mediterranean Cruise of the Greek Isles. A special waiter was assigned for my gluten-free meals and there was a special G-F menu for each meal. Accommodations were also made for eating during shore excursions -- if a G-F restaurant was not available, then fruit, cookies and small cakes were provided. It was a wonderful cruise -- over 2,000 passengers with less than 20 Celiacs and all were provided this personalized service! The only limitation was that there were only 5 English speaking couples on board -- however, the majority of the Italian, French, German, Danish passengers were able to converse comfortably in English. The tour guides gave the narrations in at least four languages and that got a little tedious ... but left a memorable impression.
