I have never been sick after eating at this restaurant. The staff all seem well trained and careful with the gluten free items. Downtown Sacramento is the closest location for me, but I have eaten at this chain in Roseville, CA, Reno, NV, and Colorado Springs. There are several entrees on the gluten free menu but my favorite is Chang's Chicken, their version of General's chicken. It is coated with a nut flour and fried then served with a spicy sauce. If you don't like spicy, ask for mild and they will leave out the little flecks of pepper. They will mix a special sauce for you with gluten free soy sauce but it is too salty for my taste. I ask for extra sauce for the chicken and put that on my rice. The lemon chicken is also very good and not as spicy. If you like extra spicy, get the Dali chicken. It was good, but too spicy for me. The gluten free lettuce wraps appetizer is another thing I have had, but again, too salty for my taste because of the gluten free soy sauce. The chocolate dome "cake" is fantastic. It is rich and very chocolate. (I won't use the word chocolaty because in advertising that often means artificial chocolate flavor and I'm sure this is real chocolate.) It is garnished with fresh berries and raspberry sauce and will easily serve 2, maybe 3. I have heard it compared to a chocolate ganache. If only they had gluten free fried rice, I would give them a 5.

Gluten Free Pizza at Left Coast Pizza! Jan 06, 2009
reviewer: NancyH from Colusa, CA

Each time I have been here has been better than the last. My husband, who can eat regular pizza, even shared the large pizza with me (they will do 1/2 and 1/2 on the toppings) and I still had leftovers to take home. I had red sauce, sausage, Roma tomato, and onions on my pizza and it tasted just like I remember pizza tasting. All of the toppings are gluten free and choices include: Salami, Pepperoni, Sausage, Linguica, Bacon, Canadian Bacon, Chicken, Shrimp, Mushrooms, Black Olives, Calamato Olives, Sundried Tomatoes, Roma Tomatoes, Green Bell Peppers, Red Bell Peppers, Onions, Fresh Garlic, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Pineapple, Jalapeños, Artichoke Hearts, Spinach, Blue Cheese, (they state that this is gluten free but I have read other places that Blue Cheese is questionable) and Feta Cheese. The sauce is very good and the crust is the best gluten free crust I have ever had, though not quite as crispy as a wheat crust. They ask that you call ahead for the gluten free crust, and once I had to wait for them to make the crust even though I did call, but it was worth the wait. (That's the reason they get a 4 rather than a 4.5 or 5.) I never was much of a beer drinker but for those who were, they do have gluten free beer also. We were there for lunch but they advertise live jazz on Thursday and Saturday evenings.
