My daughter and I went to have a meal between seeing many movies at The Seattle Film Festival. Bleary-eyed and empty-headed, we needed a break from staring at movie screens. I'm always reluctant to go to an Italian restaurant for the obvious reasons, but I was thrilled to find a staff so eager to accomodate me. Our server, Oliver, immediately started making recommendations as soon as he heard I needed a gluten-free meal and assured me that they knew how to keep my food safe from cross contamination. The best part, though, was when he told me that I could call in advance in the future to tell them I was bringing my own pasta and they would create the same pasta dishes for me that were on their regular menus. This is a great restaurant and the food was excellent. I was not greeted with that haughty, "Oh no, another crazy lady with crazy diet requests" or total ignorance about what I was talking about. I'm planning on going there soon and bringing my own pasta. My daughter's pasta dish looked too good to pass up next time.
