My 16 year old was diagnosed with Celiac eight years ago, and finding gluten free restaurants that appeal to both his tastes and the rest of the family's has been challenging. And then came Thirty 7 North!
We have dined at 37N many times over the last year and have never been disappointed. The food is incredible and the atmosphere has a casual on the water vibe with live entertainment in the evenings. It has definitely become our go-to place for dinner.
Although Thirty 7 North doesn't have a gluten free menu, per se, a lot of the menu is gluten free. On our first visit and with each subsequent experience, the friendly and knowledgeable wait staff will go through the gluten free options with my son. If there are any questions, Chef Eric is consulted. Also, Chef Eric has been more than happy to make modifications when possible. There are two separate menus, one for the dining area and one for the bar, and we've ordered off both. Both menus are seasonally altered and feature local produce and seafood. My son's favorite is the grilled skirt steak and almost any catch of the day. For appetizers he loves the house-made sausages and BBQ chicken nachos. Unfortunately, their homemade assortments of breads and muffins doesn't include any gluten free items, but I'm hopeful that will change in the future.
