This is a great neighborhood restaurant that's sophisticated yet casual and friendly. They use a lot of organic and seasonal ingredients. It turns out the chef, Patrick Bazin, has Celiac Disease, so he has put together a gluten free menu with many nice selections. I had the Jumbo Lump Crab and Corn Chowder, a favorite of mine and done particularly well at this restaurant. There are at least a half-dozen other appetizers and salads to choose from for a first course. As for the gluten free entrees, there's also a good range -- everything from fish to steak to braised lamb shank and Pecan Crusted Tender Pork Shoulder (tempting, yes, but I chose the Wild Mushroom and Butternut Squash Risotto with Duck Confit instead). It was really good. For dessert they offer Creme Brûlée and a Flourless Chocolate Cake for gluten free diners. However, that will have to wait for our next visit, as we were too full for dessert this time. Bazin's has an excellent wine list as well. I highly recommend this restaurant in the heart of Vienna.
