Tupelo Honey Cafe is located downtown, inside the restored Clinchfield train depot. This restaurant serves Southern-style food, made from scratch with all natural ingredients. Quite a few of the menu items are labeled as gluten free, and several others can be made gluten free with omissions or substitutions. Some of these selections include: classic shrimp and grits, char-grilled beef tenderloin, Carolina mountain trout, and spinach salad (with your choice of homemade GF dressing). Many of the farm fresh side items are also free of gluten, such as the carrot and kale slaw with avocado dressing, cheesy smashed cauliflower, and blueberry lemon quinoa with arugula and feta. Be sure to indicate that you require gluten free when ordering your meal. Also, address any concerns that you may have regarding food preparation.
