This restaurant is a gluten free diner's dream come true, hardcore Italian and you can eat it and there are so many choices for someone who is Gluten Free! All pasta dishes are also available GF! (exceptions are gnocchi, ravioli and tortellini) I had pasta and veggies in a Marscapone Sauce over GF Penne, my husband had Broccoli Rabe and Sausage over GF Penne! It was outstanding, they even made the Calamari GF and grilled it for us! The pasta was cooked perfectly, the portion sizes are amazing, you just can't eat it all, so take home your leftovers! Owner and waitstaff are very knowledgeable and very willing to accommodate your needs. Our non GF friends were over the top about their meals too and we all agreed that Arturo Joes surpassed all dining experiences we had in Newport, Narragansett and Martha's Vineyard, and we ate at some pricey places. I have been Gluten Free for 22 years and have owned my own Gluten Free Food Company for two years and have to say that this is by far the best GF Food I have had when eating out. They even have GF cakes for dessert, we were too full, but I am betting they are fantastic too. You have to check this place out if you are in Rhode Island or just passing thru taking the scenic route (up Rt 1) and heading to Newport or the Cape etc.
