Gluten free dining in Bend, Oregon,

Carino's has a gluten free menu. The waitress was well versed on the gluten free menu. I ordered grilled salmon and, when I questioned if it could be prepared in a clean pan instead, the waitress went to check with Cristina, the manager. She came to the table and told me that they pre-grill the salmon earlier in the day but that she had taken a fresh one out of the freezer and it would take a bit longer to prepare if I didn't mind waiting. She also asked some questions about celiac and the diet and ingredients. I mentioned Shelly Case's gluten free diet book and she wrote it down and was going to purchase it. The salmon was the best I've ever had. I had to ask some questions but I'm still giving it 5 palms because their effort was outstanding.
