We came accross this shop quite by surprise on our way to find a beach at Tahuna in Nelson.
The shop has two businesses running in it one makes chutneys, relishes, sauces and all sorts and the othe one makes breads, crackers, shortbread, and much much more baked goods.
We bought a selection which was hard because there was so much to pick from and took these down to the beach and had a picnic.
We bought scones, bread, pesto, chutney, muffins to go with some meat we had bought earlier and some bikkies for afternoon tea.
We thought we had found heaven, they were great.
Finding gluten free products in New Zealand have not been difficult at all, it is the meca for gluten free.
We enjoyed everything so much we went back for more to take on our journey to christchurch and found even after 3 days the leftovers were still fantastic.
Shelley is the owner of the shortbread house and makes everything herself from scratch so she told us all we needed to know about her products and she was very helpful about other places we could visit for gluten free foods.
Carl runs Homestyle Foods and he also makes all of his porducts. They also had some fantastic peanut butter in there which was the best I have ever had.
Well I could keep talking about this amazing little shop with a lot of attitude but I think if you are in the area check it out.
