I had heard about Annapurna's from Gluten Free friends who have visited and raved about it. I went when I came into town after a busy day, not entirely sure I wanted to handle the hassle that I usually get from eating out and not having Gluten Free options. The 1st item on the menu was gluten free to my surprise. That was the dessert page and even then only one item had gluten in it. As I turned the page I noticed all items were clearly marked as to either Gluten Free or not. Then the items that did not come GF did have the option to be Gluten Free with a different bread option. So, I asked the staff how they prevent cross-contamination of gluten. She promptly replied that they have an isolated prep area in the kitchen for products with gluten. That they have an on-site bakery that isolates gluten prep as well. Upon further questioning, the owner is strict on gluten free perfection as she is Gluten Free herself.
Besides that, Annapurna's had a great atmosphere and group/kid friendly. The food was great!!! The carrot cupcake I had was Gluten Free and vegan. It was moist, soft and so good! Everything was made in house, drinks, food, and condiments. Needless to say, I really was impressed with the place.
