As a gluten free college student and freshman in college, I am required to have an unlimited meal plan, which to most college students sounds amazing. On the other hand, for someone like me who is gluten free, it is much more difficult than one would think. I have gone through the past six months eating the same cafeteria foods day after day, and I can not even count the number of bowls of Chex cereal, salads, and stir fry meals I have eaten. Don't get me wrong, CSB/SJU has great food, compared to most colleges; it is just that I have gotten somewhat bored of the options. Yes, there are a number of GF options, and there is the option to call ahead a half an hour to have the cafeteria make you gluten free pasta, pizza, or a burger, but really, who has the time in their life to do that? I am always on the go, and rarely even know when or what I am going to eat until my stomach starts rumbling.
