Yeah! Someplace to eat on the way to or from Ocean City, Maryland, that has gluten free options! Our family goes to Ocean City for about 5 days each summer, and in years past, we'd stop at McDonald's if we needed something to eat. We'd get our son a burger without the bun (bringing our own) and fries. But we are thrilled that there are now a few other options, including a Chipotle in Easton that's been open for a few years now. Everything at Chipotle is gluten free, except for their flour tortillas. That means you can get a burrito bowl, a salad, or even corn soft tacos or hard-shell tacos. The chips are gluten free, too. The only thing I worry about is cross contamination from workers dipping their gloved hands into the condiments and touching the serving spoons for the meats to the flour tortillas as they're filling the tortillas. So I'd recommend talking to a manager and requesting "fresh" ingredients from the back that have not yet been touched with either gloved hands (with flour on them from the flour tortillas) or serving utensils that have come into contact with flour tortillas. Many people don't bother taking this step, and I know Chipotle is a favorite of the gluten free community. But being a mom of a Celiac son, I feel much safer asking for things that haven't yet been potentially contaminated with traces of gluten . The food is delicious, so it's worth the effort. Again, everything else if gluten free: all varieties of meats, beans, veggies, rice, sauces, salsas, etc.
