Salento is a stunning area in Italy. Amazing sea places and a feast of olive trees. My fiancé and I stumbled across this cosy bed and breakfast because of a friend of us knowing the host, Irene, and her man, Carlo. Irene's an always smiling girl very good at playing oboe and dancing pizzica, the alluring local music. Carlo it's not that good at dancing :-) but it's a fantastic guitarist and... he speaks English quite well. The B&B is essentially their own house, like it really should be and no, there's no restaurant service for the people out there. Only delicious local food prepared by Irene and served in their stunning garden. She knows how to proper knock up gluten free food and both I and Mary enjoyed it. We never had such food before, so we can't compare it to anything else.. Everything she made has been delightful and the price was appropriate all the time! Besides it, the day after we never got to the beach having to wander around for gluten free stuff: she always cooked enough food the previous night so that we could take some with us the following morning. If you're not "five stars hotel people" this is a nice and homey way to take your vacation and enjoy delicious gluten free breakfast and dinners.
