I recently went to Savannah, GA on a business trip and emailed the hotel (Savannah Riverfront Mariott) in advance regarding their “accommodations” for gluten free dining. They responded immediately and I received a response from the Food and Beverage Services manager, Tim Black. He told me that he was not familiar with what needed to be done for gluten free dining, but really wanted to learn more about it in order to help his future customers. I told him that I would be glad to give him some info while I was there. About my second day into the trip, he emailed me and asked if I was enjoying my trip (which he did not have to do) and asked if I was interested in a complimentary dinner that night for myself and my colleague. Of course we were! Upon arrival at the restaurant, the staff was very nice, listened to my requests, and our dinner was delicious! Before we left, the manager offered us free buffet breakfast for the next morning, and gave us his card and Tim’s and said if there was anything they could do for us in the future to let them know. All in all, I was very impressed with the service !
