Absolutely Amazing Cruise with gluten free food on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line,

I just returned from one of the best cruises I have ever had. Last year we did not have the same experience on a Carnival Cruise and I was actually a little afraid to go on another cruise, but I did. We chose Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas. The food was Amazing! You could eat in any of the restaurants that you wanted and they would accommodate you for Gluten Free. We ate the Windjammer almost every day and the Head Chef would come out and tell me what I could have and couldn't have. The food is absolutely delicious and they are very concerned that you are eating what you like and that you are enjoying the food. They have 3 different kinds of bread in the Main Dining Room at night and it is really delicious. The staff cannot do enough for you on this ship and everyone is so friendly. We did not eat off of the ship while in ports because I did not want to take a chance on getting sick. I would take Kind Bars or fruit out with me and then eat when we got back or before we left. You should pick your mail with the Head Waiter the night before, but if you don't they have items on the menu that you can choose from and there will be little wheat signs next to it. Our room, with a balcony (12-314), was really beautiful and we had the best attendants taking care of us. I have nothing but good things to say about Royal Caribbean and Kudos to them for understanding Gluten Free!

We had a wonderful worry-free trip on the Emerald Princess. We informed the line ahead of time with my need for gluten-free meals and were sent a fax with all details on what to do when we were on board. In the traditional dining room the Maitre'D came to my table every evening with the next day's menus. I then made my choices of an extensive menu and they made sure it would be gluten-free. The food and service were impeccable, delicious and a joy to the eye. We opted for the breakfast and lunch buffets on deck 15. there was so much to choose from, I did not have any problems at all. While I couldn't eat the great cookies in the International Dining rooms, I did find that the gelato, chocolate pudding and the strawberry mousse were wonderful and gave me no problems. I can recommend the Princess Line for anyone with Celiac/Sprue. The Emerald Princess is only 3 years old and absolutely gorgeous. There were a lot of excursions available and a lot of entertainment on board. If you want a Cruise Line that really goes all out to take care of you, I can recommend the Princess Line.
