We've eaten at this particular Carrabbas several times, without incident. Last night, however, may cause us to consider other options the next time we want Italian food.
It was nearly 45 minutes after we'd been seated that our cocktails were delivered to the table, and then they were missing ingredients. We were told the bar was backed up. Later, during the meal, another beverage was ordered, and it took about 30 minutes before it arrived.
Apparently, the kitchen was backed up, too, as it took about an hour from the time of placing our order until we were served. The food for three among our party was good, but for the fourth, the pasta was hardly cooked and the entree didn't look as one would expect it to look. Twice during our visit a manager came to the table and asked how things were. We were very candid with her and explained the conditions we'd experienced. She indicated she would deduct the cost of the appetizer from the bill (which she didn't do) and when she came back the second time and was told that the pasta dish was substandard, she said she'd deduct that from the bill, too (which she didn't do.) Needless to say, we skipped dessert.
We went to Carrabbas over another Italian chain restaurant because our experience in the past was that Carrabbas was better. Not this time. It was very disappointing, and took over two hours, not including front-end wait time before being seated.
