Gluten free sushi in Orlando, Florida,

Universal CityWalk in Orlando is home to another of The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar restaurants. Hamburgers, sandwiches, and sushi are featured here. At this location, the only gluten free foods are some of the sushi items and edamame. These are marked GS (gluten sensitive), and include certain selections of: sashimi, nigiri, and classic makimono. Be sure to inform the server of your specific dietary requirements. Take a look at the menu here: https://www.universalorlando.com/menus/citywalk/the-cowfish-dining-menu.pdf

Gluten free meal at Bubba Gump - City Walk, Orlando, FL,

I'll be honest and say that the only reason we stopped in here was it was on the way out of Universal. The fish was still tasty and I had no problems, it was just a little disappointing that there were so few items. Also, this sounds a bit weird, but they don't serve Dr. Pepper (How can they not?!?!) The atmosphere is great with the movie memorabilia on the walls and waitstaff providing movie trivia at your table. The experience was less than great ONLY because their Gluten Free Menu consists of 3 items, but I will still give them 4 palms.

They were in the process of redesigning their Gluten Free Menu, but server was familiar with gluten free requirement and discussed options with me from their overall menu that included burgers and fish dishes. I ended up just having a burger on a gluten free bun with fries, and it was pretty good. Overall its a good option at Universal, and I look forward to seeing what their new Gluten Free Menu will include when it is released.

We had an outstanding experience at 3 places at Universal Studios/Orlando over Spring Break. Lombards, Mythos, Loews Royal Paradise restaurants. Lombards in Universal Studios: Chef Bryan came to our table and explained how he had just been to training on gluten free and had recently acquired a dedicated fryer -- he made french fries just for us. He asked us what we wanted (even off menu) and made it special. Mythos in Universal Studios Island of Adventure: Outstanding restaurant and staff also walked us through all the options. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Finally, a chef at Loews Royal Paradise, one of the 3 onsite hotels, was incredible. He came to our table and also asked my kid what he wanted to eat and that he would be his personal chef during our entire stay. He also gave us a tour of his kitchen, showing us his gluten free pantry and prep area. There was zero eye-rolling at any of these places. They were eager to please. I googled Universal before going and the reviews didn't look so good. So I'd like to give a thumbs up to these 3 places in particular. While it may be a hassle to go to the sit-down places, it's better than nothing! SUBMITTED BY A MEMBER OF THE DC CELIACS SUPPORT GROUP http://www.dcceliacs.com

I had a wonderful dining experience while visiting Universal Studios Orlando because of the wonderful care and service I got at Margaritaville. A week before my trip I e-mail them seeing if they could help me with my gluten-free diet. Chef Dan contacted me, and put me at ease. He told me that they had experience preparing food safely for those with Celiacs. He also shared that they even carried Gluten-free rolls, brownies, and ice cream. The french fries were prepared in a dedicated fryer so they were safe as well. He even sent me the days and hours he would be working, so that he could personally be sure everything was prepared correctly and safely. After that... I felt like I was in paradise before I left my house!! Once there... Chef Dan took care of me just like he said he would. I was treated to a fantastic gluten-free cheeseburger and fries and ended the meal with a wonderful gluten-free brownie sundae. We spent a several days in that park, and each day I had lunch there, each time great care was taken. The other gf options they had available chicken, vegetable, and rice. Also at the time of my visit. Chef Dan was working on creating a gluten-free menu! So if your visiting in Orlando.... give them a call before you go to check gluten-free availability.
