We just had a fabulous time at the Naples Beach Hotel down in Naples, Florida. My daughter has Celiac, and cross contamination is a huge concern as she becomes violently ill. Prior to my arrival, I spoke to the Chef and once there, I spoke to the General Manager. Both assured me of their competence in preparing food for my daughter. They advised me that they had a separate kitchen for prep which was great. All the servers that we dealt with were clearly trained in how to handle my daughter's foods orders. We ate at two of their restaurants. We had lunch at Sunset Beach Bar and Grill where my daughter enjoyed fish tacos, burger and grilled chicken sandwich. They had gluten free bread/tortillas to accommodate. Everything was great. For dinner we ate at HBs on the Gulf which was more upscale and absolutely delicious. There were a total of 4 of us dining, and we ordered all of our meals gluten free, which enabled my daughter to taste from everyone's plates. We had a chicken breast with pumpkin risotto, Scallops with lobster risotto and filet with roasted potatoes. Everything was so great that we are still talking about it. The best part was my daughter felt she had many choices, and she didn't get sick. It truly made our vacation relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was so accommodating. I suggested that they should really publicize their gluten free capabilities. We were just lucky enough to find them! We will definitely go back. Also as a bonus in Naples, at 505 5th Avenue just a few minutes from the hotel, we found this amazing ice-cream shop that is 100% gluten free called Adelheidis Organic Sweets - it was awesome!
