In the first weekend of September I traveled home to Ft. Myers, Florida. I wanted to give a review on Jason's deli. They were great!
They had gluten free bread options for their sandwiches and also discussed the meat choices, which to avoid. When I selected my sandwich, they additionally took the time to ask my level of sensitivity and were completely willing to do everything possible to avoid cross contamination. They had a separate sides for gluten free people, changed gloves, changed knives/utensils, cutting board, etc. and they were willing to discuss everything they would do to avoid cross contamination as best as they could. My chips were bagged and not from the massive pile. So again to reduce cross contamination. My sandwich was wrapped when it got to me. Again to reduce any contamination.
It was a really nice experience. I felt like a normal person going out and eating lunch with my mom. And I ate a sandwich at a deli. Which felt weird but a good weird!
