We had a good bit of time at the Denver Airport and needed to get lunch. We were thrilled to find Modern Market in Terminal B, next to McDonald's. They have some wonderful salads and soups, and many of them are marked gluten free on the menu. My son and I each ordered a Steakhouse Salad, one of the many GF salads on the menu. I explained that my son has Celiac and is therefore on a medically necessary gluten free diet. The woman taking our order seemed to understand and assured me that the person preparing the salad would change their gloves. They even entered the item as gluten free on the ticket. The salads were really good, a combination of romaine, steak, pickled onions, tomatoes, cucumber, walnuts, gorgonzola, and a horseradish buttermilk dressing. SO nice to have a healthy and gluten-free option at the airport! There is also a Wolfgang Puck Express in the same terminal, and I know many of their menu items are gluten-free, but since they don't label them as such at this particular location, my son was a bit skittish about eating there. Who wants to be sick on a plane ride, right?! Better to be safe! We were happy to see Modern Market also has locations in Colorado, Texas, Washington DC, and Arizona.
