My daughter and I were out to see a play last night and decided to grab a bite to eat first, with just an hour and a half before show time we could not stop at our favorite restaurant at the mall, so we found a restaurant close to the Performing Arts Center called O's American Kitchen. It was new and I had never heard of it before, but decided to go in and see if they had any gluten-free options for dinner. I was a little disappointed to see that it was a Pizza, Sandwich, Roasted Chicken, Salad and Ribs place. I thought this would not be a safe place for me to eat except for maybe a salad. I went ahead and walked up to the counter to start asking my list of questions about the menu. When I asked the young man at the register if they had any gluten-free options, he excused himself and got the manager, who gave him a list of gluten-free options which included pizza to my surprise and delight! I asked a few more questions and decided on a Margarita Pizza and an Iced Tea. It was very tasty, but could have been left in the oven another minute or so. I also asked them to put a parchment paper on the pizza pan just in case there might be contamination. My daughter, who is not gluten-free, ordered a sandwich, that was so large she brought half of it home for her dad. I also brought half of the pizza home and had it today for lunch, it was great! We made it to our play with plenty of time to spare. What a great evening we had!
Merry Christmas everyone!
