I went to L'Opera on the recommendation of my hotel concierge and I was extremely delighted with all aspects of the restaurant. My gluten-free meal started with a salad they call: "Ai Legumi". This had quinoa, cannellini beans, garbanzo beans, red kidney beans, red onion, tomatoes all over sauteed kale. WOW. This was a surprise. The flavor was amazing. Next I had the Caprese. This is buffalo Mozzarella, sliced tomatoes and basil. Nice and fresh. I then ordered the "Scaloppine alla Milanese" for my main course. This was veal with chickpea flour, over a spicy marinara sauce and came with a small arugula and parmiggiano cheese salad and mashed potatoes. YUM. The meat courses on their menu says "gluten-free upon request", so they can make any of the entree items gluten-free. However, my dish said "GF". So they did not need to alter the preparation. My experience was 5 stars and next time I am in town on business I will be sure to dine at L'Opera.
