We spent time in Sedona and went to Picazzo (always do), which is amazing. In Scottsdale, a good friend recommended Binkley's for our anniversary dinner. Note that this is a pricey restaurant, which we normally do not do, but since it was a special occasion we tried it. Given the $$, I called ahead of time to inquire, talked to the chef, and was assured gluten free would be no problem. They also asked if anyone else had any food allergies or just plain things they avoided.
They do a lot of the "molecular gastronomy", so that was also part of our interest in checking it out, since neither of us had tried that approach.
The menu was really extensive and really impressive, with a great wine list to boot. We both chose to do a paired dinner/tasting. I had a 5-course dinner with paired wines for each plate. Prior to the official "start", they are already giving you aperitifs and palate cleansers. They even tailored these for me (GF) and my wife (no beef).
Overall, although pricey, the service and food/drinks were truly outstanding. I found the waiters to be very knowledgeable about food allergies and felt that they were really all about making sure we had a great dining experience. Imagine that we actually received a phone call the next day to ask about our experience.
