I booked an Alaskan cruise and was so busy that I overlooked a very important detail, I forgot to notify the ship of my gluten intolerance. On the plane trip to Seatle I realized what I had done and got very anxious about whether or not I was going to find something to eat for an entire week. To my surprise and enjoyment all I had to do was tell the waitress/waiter at each of the ships restaurants of my gluten intolerence. They made sure I was taken care of. They had special gluten free meat sauces, vegetable sauces, gluten free bread, and even served me wonderful gluten free desserts! A gluten free chocolate cake served warm and an extremely delicious soufle with a cream sauce served warm. I thought I was in Heaven! It was the first time since I was diagnosed with Celiac Sprue in the year 2000, that I didn't have to bring extra food along when I traveled and had no worries. And the best thing was I didn't have to pay extra like I usually do if it's gluten free! The Norweigan Cruise Line will have my customer loyalty for quite some time.
