Oak & Vigne is a daytime restaurant in the heart of the beautiful village of Greyton in the Western Cape. It is laid back and comfortable. On winter days the fire is welcoming. I have used the restaurant several times and each time have asked for something particular, such as rice instead of couscous, which has always been accommodated. They concentrate on 'Mediterannean' food - light lunches with one main course daily. Although they have a lot of different pasta and bread dishes, there has always been something gluten-free on the menu, though this has been in discussion with the helpful staff and the chef, Karen, when she is not too busy. She is also aware of people's need for low GI and willing to learn about other diets as well, though I had to explain that barley in a soup is not gluten free.
There are several other restaurants in Greyton which are accommodating, Pecadillos and 254 in particular if you want an evening meal.
