Inside the park you will be able to observe the arboreal vegetation of the Patagonia Andean forest, which is mainly from the ?notofagus? family. Further on, you'll have access to the footbridges of the glacier, with fantastic panoramic viewpoints. In this area there are many glaciers, and the most famous is the Perito Moreno. It is 3.12 miles across the front and 60 meters high. In fact, it has a total surface that exceeds several big cities of the world! Plus, it is one of the few glaciers that is still in full advance.

During any season of the year, visitors can enjoy its constant collapses of ice towers that break into multiple ice floes. Another unique phenomenon that impresses experts and tourists is the breakage of the natural dry dock that the glacier produces while advancing over the river. This phenomenon is a spectacle without comparison. You will also have the opportunity to do some mini-trekking (age max 65). This tour begins at the "Bajo de las Sombras" port, where you can cross the Rico Lake, enjoying breathtaking views of the front wall of the Perito Moreno glacier and Los Glaciares National Park. This will take you to a refuge where the guides organize the groups for a walk along the lake shore for approximately 20 minutes to the actual glacier. Upon reaching the edge of the ice, the guides place crampons on participants, and you get a lesson on how to move on the ice. During the tour on the glacier you will be able to appreciate a variety of ice formations such as cracks, seracs, sinkholes, small lagoons, etc. The walk is moderate. The ice surface on which you walk is irregular, but firm and safe. At the end of the walk, you will return to the refuge through the Magellanic forest. Breakfast, Dinner, and a Box Lunch are included on this day.

It is the only national park in Argentina that has a marine coast. During the tour, you'll go deep into the rugged topography and along the mountain roads towards the Lapataia River. You'll have an excellent view of the Green Small Lake and the Lapataia Bay and learn about the original inhabitants in this archaeological zone. You'll also visit the train station of the Southern Fuegian Railway -- the Station of the End of the World -- and make an optional stop for a train ride to a National Park along forests and peat bogs.
