Overall it was an excellent experience with knowledgable wait staff, who were more than happy to bring my very precise questions to the chef. Their regular menu is labeled with indicators for gluten free (gf), vegetarian (veg), and vegan (v). There is also a small box on the bottom of the menu that notes that most dishes are able to be made gluten, dairy, or egg free. The menu also has a wonderful selection of gluten free items, but the real reason I went was to sample their gluten free fish and chips. Which, if you were wondering, were amazing. There are a number of other dishes I have on my list to try including the pomegranite short ribs and the buckwheat/quinoa pancakes on their breakfast menu. 50 North is owned and operated by the same folks that own the Hardware Store on Vashon Island, where "the Chef" of Gluten Free Girl and the Chef works. So perhaps there was a friendly hand in the menu labeling.
