This place is a gluten-free find! Jules Thin crust offers both regular pizza and gluten free pizza. Both are wonderful! They are cooked in seperate kitchens and are very knowledgeable and serious about their gluten free preparations. They also offer gluten free cookies and brownies to grab as a small dessert. Not only is the food amazing (my brother-in-law actually prefers the gluten free pies) but it gives celiacs a place to go with their families and everyone can order to their own liking. They stamp all of the papers they send the pizza out on with a gluten free marking so that you can be sure that the one you are eating is safe. Once, I was served the wrong pie by accident (at the Doylestown location) it didn't have the usual stamp on it, so I took it to the front and asked the manager about it. He brought me out a new pie, gave me two cookies and a brownie and refunded our entire purchase! He was so apologetic. They are really very serious about the standards there. From what I can understand the daughter of the owner (Jules) had celiacs disease and so this was a tribute to her. So, knowing that the entire store was based on a safe haven for his daughter, you can be sure that they take their work seriously. The only issue I have ever encountered is that the gluten free pies are only available in a medium size, not any other size and not by the slice. This has never really presented a problem for me though, seeing as how the pizza is thin crust I can normally polish off all but 4 pieces by myself. This also gives me some to take home for later too :) They also sell gluten free pizza dough, so that you can make your own pizza at home. I have tried that too and it works very well. All in all this is a great place, anyone traveling to the area has lots to do as well. There are three locations: Jenkintown, Newtown, and Doylestown. Sesame Place, possibly the biggest attraction to the Newtown location is only about 20 mins. away, Philadelphia is about 1 hr. and Trenton NJ is about 30 mins. Newtown itself is historic and has a lot of cute shops on main street to wander in and out of. It is also close to New Hope which is a big tourist attraction. The Doylestown location is similar, in that Doylestown is a very cutesy Sunday shopper type of area, with museums and playgrounds and they also have a big artistic scene for the first Friday of every month. The Doylestown location has patio seating available, so you can people watch and I think they may be adding a patio to the Newtown location as well. Anyway, let it be said that Jules Thin crust is a delicious experience and if you were bringing anything to the restaurant for yourself it will only be the liquor (it is a BYOB restaurant!)
