Great Gluten-Free Thai Food, September 09, 2010

We chose Indochine because they were listed on a gluten free restaurant website in Wilmington. We had been there many years ago, before gluten-free became necessary for our family, and liked it then. It was an amazing dining experience. We sat outside in a little tiki hut, surrounded by beautiful flowers. It was totally private and comfortable. When we asked for the GF menu, our waitress returned with it, and offered some suggestions. She knew a lot about the GF diet, and was able to offer some dipping sauce substitutions to make an inherently gluten free appetizer GF. The food was delicious, and there was a ton of it! My husband ate his whole curry dish, which was served in a small casserole (it could have fed three or four moderately hungry people), and packed the leftovers of his sister and mother to take home. All were GF! One thing to beware of: when they say it's "Thai Hot" they mean it! My sister-in-law, who loves spicy food, had to have hers sent back to be diluted with coconut milk so she could eat it! Indochine was one of our easiest and most delicious dining experiences!

Indochine offers authentic Asian food with a wonderful gluten- free menu. We were very satisfied with the quality of food and service. The dining environment was exquisite including, Thai huts and a beautiful lotus pond. We definitely plan on returning to this lovely restaurant.
