The Place for gluten-free all you can eat in Las Vegas,

The front end staff was friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free needs. The chef was called to give me a tour of the buffet. He explained that anything he pointed out which was GF was cooked in its own pot or station and explained that they get approximately 5 Gluten Free diners a day so they make this a priority, although it does not state so on their website or menu. The buffet was large and elegant, with numerous stations and a wide variety of certified gluten free food according to the Chef. Many marinated dishes were marinated in gluten-free marinades or sauces, expanding the options that were available. The Chef made several recommendations for me of what would be good this day. However, although this chef was very knowledgeable about what was in his food the gluten-free options were still limited given the size of this buffet. Food quality was great to say the least. Everything was fresh, well cooked, unique and tasty! My favorite touch was the passion fruit sorbet, right down to the approved gluten free chocolate chips to top it off. Rumor also has it that if you go during Dinner you will get the chance to try some unusual meats, if that is your thing. If you need a gluten free Buffet in Las Vegas this place is a great stop. For $40 for two people for lunch it was a bit pricey for my tastes, but what can you expect in Las Vegas? SUBMITTED BY CELTIC CELIAC, http://celtic- celiac.blogspot.com/

While staying at the Bellagio I figured my best bet to find gluten free would be the buffet . I was pleasantly surprised when the head chief came out when I explained I need foods that were gluten free and soy free. He walked me through the entire buffet and explained what was in each item and answered any questions I had, even though it was a very busy breakfast service. I came back for a dinner service and he did the same!

I was extremely impressed and totally relaxed when dining at these restaurants. The wait staff were very knowledgeable and whenever they didn't have an answer they checked with the chef and were very reassuring when they returned to my table. At Olives the chef even came to my bar seat for a "chat" and made me something special. During the day my options weren't so plentiful, especially at the little cafes or bistros for lite lunches. On one occasion when I wanted a yogurt parfait it had granola mixed in... even after checking with the counter help (very disappointing). However, these special and great dinners came with a rather large price tag! But I guess we Celiacs are use to spending more for our food.
