Lakewinds Food Co-op sets high standards for the products that it carries. There is a banned ingredient list/food list that was developed, and none of these toxic/potentially toxic items are allowed on the shelves. The focus here is on promoting wellness through local, natural, organic, and fair trade items. Special diets can also be accommodated. There are gluten free and dairy free packaged products, as well as things for people with other types of allergies and dietary restrictions. Fresh produce, pantry staples, refrigerated and frozen convenience foods, and wellness/beauty care items are offered. In addition, there is a fresh meat and seafood counter. The deli also has a selection of gluten free baked goods and prepared items. The knowledgeable staff is happy to assist you with any questions or concerns.
