I was diagnosed with celiac disease last year and due to cross contamination issue had to give up many of the restaurants in the area. Someone recommended I try Burton's Grill and it is far and away our new favorite restaurant. They are extraordinarily knowledgable as to gluten free food preparation, as well as accommodating any allergy you could think of. The food is always brought over by the chef or the manager.

Beyond the gluten free factor, they have a huge menu and everything I've eaten there has been excellent. I highly recommend their gluten free flat breads in particular.

Burton's Grill -- with three Massachusetts locations, one in Connecticut, and another in Virginia Beach -- is the perfect example of gluten-free done right. They have a great gluten-free menu, both for lunch and dinner. I ordered the gluten-free Chicken Piccata. It was fantastic. It was lightly coated with some sort of gluten-free flour, the way all chicken piccata is, and you couldn't even distinguish it from the gluten-filled variety. It sat on top of a bed of gluten- free spaghetti, dressed with the same lemon butter and caper sauce. YUM! This was on the restaurant's lunch menu under "Chef Specials," but they change (perhaps daily?) since the Chicken Piccata was not listed on the Gluten-Free Lunch Menu posted on their website. There is a huge range of tasty options on BOTH their gluten-free lunch and dinner menus (just request one when you're seated). Choices range from appetizers like calamari (YES...gluten-free calamari lightly breaded and fried!) to salads, sandwiches and burgers on gluten-free buns (good ones), risotto, pastas, fish, seafood, steak, chicken, and wonderful desserts and even gluten-free beer (plus wine and cocktails). I tell you...you have to try this place if you live or are traveling to Massachusetts, Connecticut or Virginia Beach.
